Finland: With an area of 338 424 km² Finland is almost as big as Germany (357 111 km²). However it has there only  5 million inhabitants. This meant: Lots of space for canoeing and other nature activity. Even the nickname of Finland "The land of a thousand lakes" indicates ideal conditions for a perfect canoeing holiday. Thousand is not enough even close to this country, according to official figures, there are exactly 187,888 lakes.
