English:
The great wilderness of lake Femund and its belonging Femundsmarka and Rogen areas form a hidden Northern European treasure with its thousands of small and big lakes, quiet and bruising rivers as well as round, friendly mountains and mysterious, hundreds of years old forests. Having totally escaped from human activities, this area is one of the last remaining, accessible places in Europe to experience completely untouched nature and wildlife.
The Femund area is situated on 650-1500 meter altitude and has few roads for entrance. The weather during summer can vary from sunny and warm with perfectly still waters, to windy and cold conditions. Thus, the entrance to the wilderness can be challenging. Next to offering canoe and equipment rental as well as transport, we believe our most important role is to share with you our knowledge of these challenges and to assist in tailoring your wilderness experience to you and your travel company. On the basis of your wishes and desires and according to the ruling weather conditions, we make the best of your trip in the Femund area.
With over 40 years of experience and profound knowledge of wildlife and canoeing on and around these lakes, we at Femund Canoe Camp are happy to welcome you for your next fabulous and safe wildlife adventure!
